Yes as you can go back and see I suggested only signing the one Bud Dupree so thankfully that's not a problem.

Extremely stoked about how my band was sounding at the show, went through all the IG clips that got taken of us, probably gonna post it as a permanent story reel on my profile

There’s like, one part I messed up a loop and ended up improvising some guitar and vocals weirdly as a result to keep the song going, but the video clip of that part shows the entire crowd dancing so it literally didn’t matter. The rest of the songs it sounds like we were really tight and in control and I woulda been jumping around if I was in the audience too. Complex, syncopated rhythms are kind of a feature of my guitar playing style, and Rik and Jared are more locked into what I do rhythmically than anyone else I’ve ever played with period. It makes the live product so emotive and jolting and I’m in love with seeing how they elevate my pre-existing vision of the songs.

My only issues are just related to the quieter vocals being hard to hear at small local shows. More of a sound guy thing, they always tune the mic to my loud vocals but I can back off the mic for those! Tune it to my soft vocals, I don’t wanna be kissing the mic all night just to get those notes heard. And because of having to push my voice harder, my highest notes were slightly flat toward the end as I wore my voice out, while my lowest notes sounded pushed and weren’t as expressive as they are on recording. That’s just something I gotta get to the point of playing better and better venues and/or hire my own sound guy to get better vocal sound out of them.

But otherwise I definitely achieved my goals of 1) hitting the longer notes clean rather than being out of breath and forcing it or wimping out, 2) not over-shouting & being melodic even about the tough notes, 3) being way less pitchy and keeping sharp / flat notes to a minimum. Vocal performance is the hardest part of shows to me (especially considering I play a lot of guitar shit at the same time) so it’s satisfying to see I’ve improved a lot since even 3 months ago.
