Best two teams in the AFC didn't invest heavily in 3/5 of those things while both invested heavily in the positions that supposedly "don't matter". Teams, especially those with multiple picks, waste their picks every year taking mediocre players because of "positional value". Lions ignored that and just took good players and immediately became a contending team with Jared Goff at QB.
