WRs just make more sense to draft if you can’t get a stud. The true studs didn’t hit the market. Veteran WR2s and 3s are frequently overpaid imo

 

Zay also was older and much worse.

13m AAV is not overpaying at all. There are worse WRs making that money. And not that many better signed for less either.

It doesn't cost that much and it does move the needle. Zay had a huge impact and again, is much worse.

 

The only WR3s that actually should be earning that much are good slot guys cause that’s actually a difficult skillset even if you’re not the main target. Davis is not a good slot guy, he’s either a weak WR2 or a strong backup outside receiver. Neither of those are worth what he got to me. If he had 4.3 speed maybe he’s worth this but I fully don’t believe he’ll be as good of a deep threat here

I just don’t see how you would act like you don’t realize you’re ignoring the fact Gabe came from one of the most explosive offenses in the league, or the fact that most of the thread saw what I did - a not good receiver who was in a good situation and got thrown some really nice deep balls
