Mims to Pittsburgh makes a lot of sense too if he's there.

He's 32 and coming off his worst season haha. It's certainly fine but like, a win now team with a bad OL just cut him - that's usually a sign. And as we saw with pretty much every other instance of that this year, it usually doesn't pan out. Which is whatever, he's a huge upgrade from having the worst center in the league, I just don't like that that was the position we decided to punt for one more year when this class is so loaded at center

Morse was a great choice imo. Good, we have a center who fits our running scheme and upgraded the line; and now we don’t have to worry about it in the draft

Pretty obvious at this point we’re going DT and corner early in the draft

As long as Ridley is back, WR jumps up the list if he leaves, especially with how good the class is.

Yeah I like the Morse, Savage, Duvernay, and Darby signings. All of those were favorable deals for us; not necessarily slam dunk guys to sign but excellent mix of bargain contract value and need

Gabe Davis signing is awful compared to these, not gonna budge on this take this off-season, that move felt wholly unnecessary & I might have preferred putting that money toward Reader or 2/3 of a Wilkins contract so that BPAs at more positions are an option to us in round 1

Wilkins got an absolutely massive deal. We were not in on him.

Which is why the Davis signing annoys me cause he didn’t change this at all. With or without him I’m going WR in round 1 if Ridley walks, so what is even the point of spending that much

Shipley has made sense all off-season though, I agree that if the Jags didn’t have something in the works with Ridley we’d have heard several tweets about Ridley offers by now

The point is not having absolutely nobody back there after the two top guys. As shown last year by us and like half the league, that's a losing strategy.

I’d still rather pay him that than pay Davis what we paid him. I just do not think Davis is good dude. Third receivers are easy af to draft if we really wanted an upgrade there. With how much the WR3 market costs right now I woulda just passed

I don’t mind the Davis signing *IF* he is the Zay replacement. If Rid walks and they aren’t aggressive in the first round for WR then I’ll be upset.

The winning strategy is being good at drafting and taking a WR3 in the draft who might be good enough to be WR1 someday, so you have options if your WR1 costs too much. not paying a WR3 who is never gonna be better than that more than it costs to draft two solid receivers and a dark horse depth free agent and let them compete instead
