I’m fine with Evans making the Hall, but I also think you’d be hard pressed to find a span in his career where he was viewed as a top 5 player at the position, so I lean towards him sitting on the bubble for a long while and maybe breaking through after awhile

Julio/AB/Hopkins/Adams/Tyreek would all be picks for me over him, and he’d be on a bubble with guys like Diggs and Keenan Allen, and I’m sure some of the newer guard of Jefferson/Chase/AJ Brown/CeeDee, etc will cement their place too and might delay him even further

 

i mean last more than 3 years in the nfl should probably make you a pillar. even if you kind of suck. just not an impactful pillar.

 

I wouldnt say thats fair lol he has been a monster the past few seasons, and hasnt missed a game. I think he has the record for most tackles for a DLinemen over a 3 year stretch or some shit

he was definitely a defensive leader

 

He's really good. Just plays a not-flashy position.

 

yeah I know he's been awesome and isn't a huge household name so to speak (though a favorite of nfl twitter) I just (personally) think "franchise pillar" is a BIT of hyperbole

love the guy, but if we can sign 2 DTs for $12 mill/year each, I would prefer to go that route.
