I got mad at my wife's former boss referring to her team as "Growing" while promoting Beads' recently vacated job. So I posted something last night akin to "It should be illegal to describe your company as "growing" when the job you're filling is replacing someone you let go." And apparently someone at my company saw it and complained to a higher up and the higher up asked my boss to make me delete it.

They felt I was taking a shot at the company for our recent round of layoffs I guess.

Right, and if my boss did one of the two, I probably wouldn't care:
A) messaged me and said "this is stupid, but your post ruffled some feathers from the ELT so can you take it down"
or
B) "His wife just got fired, it's clearly about that and not us so chill" I'd be fine

Instead she laid into me over it. Which is particularly frustrating because literally the company has taken a stronger action over my LinkedIn post than they did when a vendor we work with sexually assaulted an employee. They have since fired the employee and retained the vendor.

 

I'm less annoyed about the LinkedIn post, literally who cares it's a fucking LinkedIn post, and more annoyed about the things my boss lets go or gives the benefit of the doubt to that seemingly excludes me

 

I'm also still incredibly grossed out about how they handled the sexual assault allegation.
