Still just sitting around waiting but had to join a call for my team I got transferred to and some guy goes “I’d like to welcome Jake from State Farm, ha ha ha sorry I’m just a bit of a joker”. Mfer gonna turn me into the joker.

There’s no small talk I hate more at work than coffee small talk

 

What about beef small talk?

 

especially on mondays when you have to do the "how was your weekend" "too fast LOL" "arent they always" kinda shit

 

aint nothing small about beef

 

I'd take how was your weekend small talk all day every day over "waiting for the person running the call to join the zoom" small talk

 

That's why you always show up late

I used to be on time for those calls and now I just wait

My company is so weird about it. Directors show up 20 mins late to calls regularly so you really can't game the fashionably late thing

 

I used to always be early for calls, then I transferred to a team where everyone was 5+ minutes late so I started going late, then transferred to a team where half the people join 10 minutes early and the other half join 10 minutes late. It’s fun!

We have this one director who has never been on time for a single meeting and then gets frustrated when they miss important details. It's very fun.

 

Absolutely love it. Got a 50 something year old coworker Steve who is a big beef guy so we do talk often about the recent beefs. He recently got one after his colonoscopy and I wanna do the same

 

i simply work in an office and attend in person meetings where things start and end on time. built extremely different.

 

In office? Sounds terrible

 

i thought 'big beef guy' would be the craziest thing i read in this post.
