Yeah I’m hopefully for Brown. It really sucks that he tore his ACL in January. From what I’ve heard, the organization is very high on him. They’ve gotten solid/good play out of Reed too, thus far. However, I do think that, if they sign a veteran to a multi-year deal and Brown ends up panning out, I can see Reed being the odd man out by the time next year. I believe he’s a RFA after this season. Hopefully, they keep him around in 2025, even if just as depth, but I would think that they’re gonna hope that Brown and whoever else they bring in this offseason work out as their safeties moving forward. Reed will have opportunities to play and impress though with Brown recovering

As for linebacker, I do hope they invest one of their day two picks at the position (ideally, one of their seconds). I’d like to see them sign a veteran and then bolster the depth with a rookie so they can have a contingency plan for Dean in place. I don’t think they can go into the season with Dean and a veteran as the starters and just Ben VanSumeran and/or other UDFA/practice squad goofballs as backups

I should eventually watch it because I’m sure I’ll still enjoy it.

Only watched through 30 Rock once back in 2015, but thought it was great

Reed is good enough to walk I think. He'll command more than y'all will wanna pay.

This is a pretty good FA group of LBs so yeah, I like that plan a lot.

It’s a seemingly good group of FA safeties too. I think both will be addressed. I just truly hope that Howie does more than throw $1m at a Nicholas Morrow-caliber of player and is willing to spend a few extra million for someone better, even if it’s just around the $5m range. I think he will.

His haircut alone is getting him drafted by round four

Sorry to quote you again, but, speaking of free agent guards, this is another position I’m keeping tabs on the Eagles for. I think it’s a darkhorse need, especially if/when Kelce retires. I know they spent a second on Jurgens to be the future starter at center and they spent a third last year on Steen, but that’s a lot of uncertainty to just enter the season with, especially after Steen spent most of last season as a healthy scratch and started only one game. I don’t think the Eagles spending a high third round pick on Steen should/will prohibit them from upgrading at RG if an upgrade presents itself in free agency or the draft

I do not think Steen is good at all so it would make sense to me to bring in competition for him. GBR though

What did Thuney get from KC a few years back, like $16m per?

Quenton and Chris both get 20. Zack gets 18.4, Elgton 17. Only 10 get more than 10m though

Yeah I thought it was a puzzling pick and that was the general analysis I heard from Eagles guys too, especially because (correct me if I’m wrong) I’m pretty sure he had more recent college experience playing LT than RG.

After one year, nothing about him says he’s a locked in starter. Maybe he develops into one under the goat Jeff Stoutland, but tbd. If he ends up maxing out as a backup at RG or LT, I suppose there are worse ways to spend a third round pick.

He played tackle but was better fit as a guard but even then idk, he was just sloppy looking to me.

It reminds one of the more baffling coaching decisions from last season that Sua Opeta started almost every game that Jurgens missed over Steen. I get that the coaches are trying to win one week at a time because their jobs aren’t as safe as Howie’s, but that was some mind-blogging stuff last year. I mean, Opeta is a solid backup, but…c’mon man lol

that actually makes sense cause he’d stick it out of the left window, increasing drag on the left side more than the right side, and making it easier to take bank left turns at a slightly higher speed cause he’s effectively tilting the car’s G forces in that direction.

that is WILD. The role of air resistance is huge when you’re going 150+ MPH (and gets exponentially higher the faster you go)
