As I’ve said before I had a ticket to one of their final shows and I left after Tigers Jaw played. Not for me

 

I’ve been offered a lot more money to work for industry but it’s never tempted me to leave the nonprofit career I’ve been on. I’m sure there is a number that would make me jump if it was like life changing money that I could retire on after a couple years and I could talk myself into it by saying someone is doing that job even if I don’t do it but Bezos and other billionaires like oil tycoons are a different breed of evil that I couldn’t live with. They aren’t just a cog like a lawyer they are the reason for so much damage and suffering

 

I would so easily talk myself into it. “I’m gonna be the cool billionaire though who donates a lot of money and pushes politics in a good direction” etc etc etc meanwhile setting up offshore accounts and paying off someone for the waiter I accidentally killed.

To be totally fair I only watched like, 3 songs from an audiotree live video of mwy

 

Saw mwy on their farewell tour. They were awesome live

 

they are the furthest thing from a new band

 

MWY is a tough band for me. Some songs/albums are just absolute bangers but then the rest kinda sucks.

 

By new music I mean music you’re not familiar with

 

yeah like 2 great albums and a bunch of snoozers.

 

Joking aside I do miss regularly getting into new albums and artists. It still happens but way less often. One of life’s pleasures is having a series of new songs you’re into and wanting to play them over and over

You didn’t even stay for a song or two? Sometimes the live version of a band will make me get it more than I did on record.
