I don’t know if it has been said, but unlike baseball, football voters are instructed to just weigh on field achievement, which I think makes Antonio Brown’s biggest issue more that the HOF takes forever to induct WRs than his off-field antics are

Well, here is my best compromise.

no Jimmy Smith isn’t a clear-cut elite, we’ve seen guys (like Antonio Brown, Larry Fitzgerald, Justin Jefferson, obviously Moss and Calvin etc) who are clearly even better than him at toe tapping and being elusive at the catch point.

Fred though? Look I’m sorry maybe he wasnt Barry but there definitely weren’t 4 other guys who were faster or better at juke moves & cutbacks than Fred, honestly maybe Barry and LT and Faulk and that’s it, he’s a top 5 elusive / big play back of all time, that’s eye-test HOF to me fuck the stats and accolades

We all got into football originally because it was cool to see dudes juke other dudes out and do awesome athletic shit like that, Fred IS one of the greats in that category.

 

I have no horse in this race (another Broncos reference nice) I don't care about who's in the Hall Of Fame, I just hate the MLB way of doing it where a bunch of loser writers are like "I'm Super Important here I would like some Attention"

 

I’ve been to the baseball HOF and the football HOF and the baseball one is so much better and more fun. Plus there’s an awesome town built up around it. Football HOF is off the highway and sucks shit. But fuck the MLB.

I went to the football HOF once and they were honoring the 86' Browns. It was awesome wearing broncos gear in front of Bernie Kosar and Marty Schottenheimer
