And sure Jimmy and Ward are probably at the bottom of the top 25 wide receivers of all time - not including the current greats that are still young like Jefferson and Chase. It’ll be tough for them to get in cause there’s just a far larger pool of special receivers in a league that starts 2-3 of them on offense.

but Fred is solidly in the middle of the top 25 RBs ever to me, and only isn’t top 10 because of us drafting MJD and nerfing what would’ve been top 10 stats, by making him share some of his prime and then trading him to NE before he was toast. The difference between 10 and 20 is not that wide and he’s 17th in rushing yards.

We also shouldn't create a bigger problem than we already have. Scherff is probably a Post-June 1 cut. I don't think Cam is going anywhere but let's say we cut him and don't re-sign Ezra now we have no interior and at best, a tackle who is maybe as good as Cam. Now we have to sign/draft three guys.

 

I think this is also an extreme comparison cause if Brown didn’t self destruct and act a fool, he would’ve arguably been first ballot. Dude was not on the Calvin Johnson tier but prime Antonio Brown was in the immediate next tier and above many other WRs who already got in. It really is a shame he destroyed his own legacy.

I genuinely believe if you have to make an argument, you probably shouldn't be in. It should be clear cut. That's what a HOF is to me.

It drives me nuts that MLB lets dudes stick around on the ballot for like 15 years as if being short 14 times and finally getting in is such a win. Obviously exceptions to every rule, but that's how I view Hall-Of-Fames. They're for Randy Moss and Terrell Owens, Not Julian Edelman and Wes Welker.

 

Barry Bonds isn't in the hall so the MLB doesn't have one as far as I'm concerned.

fwiw i agree. baseball is getting watered down as well. more like "hall of 'had a great career'". there are dudes who shouldnt even be able to be considered but because you're out of the game for 5 or 6 years whatever it is youre automatically elligible.
