I literally (when I’m working and have income) take whole ass trains to DC just for open mics and friends shows (almost a 2 hour trip with bus to and from train stations included), so that I can sorta connect the two cities and make this area feel more like a New York in terms of diversity in opportunities.

It is already a one hour trip each way by walking + bus to get to my practice space and I already currently have to Uber or rent a car to take my gear to shows. I’m currently taking a 30-35 minute bus ride right now just to go play a Baltimore open mic. And I do stay up till 4 in the morning sometimes doing all 3 in one day.

I already eat out way too much and budget for that because grocery shopping on foot and cooking in a tiny apartment is just a lot of work.

like, I’m already traveling more on foot and taking more of my free time and spending money to do stuff than I would there lol

 

Just a bunch of losers holding me back.


Anyway, can I burrow some money to pay my mortgage?

Just once, I wish someone would have this transformational "I gotta move there" experience about like...detroit. Would be good for their economy.
