6 minute walk from the D Line train, right by Sunset Park (best views of Manhattan in Brooklyn), right on the other side of Prospect Park / the cemetery from Williamsburg area

that ain’t bad. People regularly come much further from the Bronx and Queens into Manhattan and it’s not like I can afford to be going out in Manhattan anyways. I’d be like 35 minutes tops walking and subway, from where we were.

 

looks like decent access to the G so you can get around Brooklyn easily and good access to the n and r which gets into manhattan. Longer rides though.

 

Oh yeah tech jobs im just applying everywhere. But as a very minimum last resort I can get two service jobs and just work my ass off for 3 months while still applying for tech jobs.

idk. I wish I’d been with my band for 5 years and not 6 months. I don’t have enough rapport with them to convince them to move with me lol

 

Having ridden the subway that direction this weekend, it’s not long at all. Maybe adds 10 minutes if that.

 

Like as much as you think New York is accessible it’s mind blowing how much it REALLY is. I panicked a little bit when the L train didn’t connect me from central Manhattan to the east side because of track maintenance, and I didn’t know what the fuck they meant when they said I take a shuttle bus, but I didn’t even have to panic very long cause the bus clearly said “SHUTTLE BUS” and came within 2 minutes right to the subway station.

Brooklyn and Manhattan are both HUGE and you think that crossing them by subway would take an hour but it’s like 20-30 minutes lol

 

Boston would break your soul.

 

I didn’t like trying to use the bus in New Orleans so I think I’ll stay away from New York City

 

Why fight a losing battle

 

Getting around New York was so easy that I had it figured out enough to go from the Brooklyn apartment to Prince Street pizza and then to the train station and it lined up exactly with my time schedule.

 

Why didn’t you like it

 

New York is the only place where Randall would go home after a long day and would be considered turning in early

 

When the MBTA is running smoothly, Boston is super navigable. Even when the T isn't, it's so small you can pretty much walk end to end. I basically ran it from Fenway to the Garden to catch a train. But the T is a cruel joke played on all of us.

 

Randall you need a cooling off period lol

 

Does the MBTA still stop running at like 11 pm? Drove me crazy in college and it’s the terribleness of the T that has forced me to never have any urge to be in Boston haha

 

Runs until 1. Has as long as I can remember?
