Manhattan of course is the most unreasonably priced area in the country outside of San Francisco

but DC is roughly as expensive as Brooklyn for the kinda stuff I’d rent… and so is a lot of Atlanta now! And 1000% i would rather live in Brooklyn haha. I think I’ve decided if I leave Baltimore, NYC is above DC or ATL as far as where I’d go next

 

Atlanta has gotten too damn expensive. And I swear to god they aren't actually doing construction on 285, they're just starting more and then moving on without finishing.

 

My dad is a Vikings fan and I just want them to win a super bowl so I can stop clowning the Vikings year in and year out in conversation with him

 

DC is also as expensive to go out and eat/drink in as Brooklyn. The only thing I’d say DC has over NYC for me is 1) free museums 2) nature and parks.

this might seem blasphemous considering Central Park is super famous and the Catskill mountains are close to the city and all that, but deadass DC parks / hike and bike trails rule, even inside the city, in such a way that NYC is too dense to even have that much greenway space. And the New York parks I’ve been to outside of Central Park aren’t thaaaat great. Prospect Park, one of the two major Brooklyn parks, was aight but I literally prefer Patterson Park in Baltimore a few blocks from me and it’s not close.

We did get to eat pizza in a beautiful ass garden / courtyard but the city’s trying to close that down and put more corporate offices there.

Just lucky timing. He and his gf lived like a block away from where he is now. They broke up and had to quickly find something new. I think maybe the person that helped them find their apt helped him with that one. It’s all timing and luck it seems.

 

Oh yeah and he has good fun with it too. He’s always like “Why are you always picking on them” every time I send him a picture from the Kirk’s Phat Dumpy Twitter account lol
