Yeah, it’s in Fishtown. When we saw mwY, I just parked by the venue because The Fillmore actually has a lot. Jonny Brenda’s is just a bar in a neighborhood so most of the parking is residential and a two-hour limit

I’ll let you know if I grab a ticket. I just realized the show is on Easter and my family usually has plans on Easter so tbd on my end. I’m definitely interested though

 

The Fillmore is cool. Fish town is cool.

 

The Fillmore is my favorite Philly venue of that size. I’ve had a good time in Fishtown too whenever I’d go out with friends in the area. I don’t do that as much anymore now that my close buds that used to live in Philly have moved to different states

I’m still thinking about NY. Greenwich Village & Williamsburg were both dope. Williamsburg also isn’t nearly as hipstery as its reputation but maybe that’s the gentrification. It just seemed like a normal hotspot for more affordable nightlife than what you can find in Manhattan.

@spiffa0 how did your friend luck out with that spot. I would be taking the L train in and out of Manhattan and the G train all over Brooklyn 3-4 days a week just for fun not including work (which it seems like your friend does also)

I will repeat this hot take though - so far, from what I’ve seen, DC’s food and bar scene IS good enough to be called baby NYC

however, that’s with a less convenient and slower subway, and way fewer “spots”. I’d say Cardozo, Adams Morgan, Waterfront, and Columbia heights are the best hotspots in DC… but… NYC has like 80 of those, not 4 lol

Weirdly though, Williamsburg vibe-wise reminded me more of the nice parts of Baltimore than anything in DC
