You're right, it's better! Because when I'm tired of it being 100° I can just go home

I just really really dig the convenience here that’s basically an unbeatable thing for me

You and Ana are pretty much never ever going to drive an hour outside of the city so this is an entirely moot point

Like as much as I love to go out New York really does make it fucking easy to just walk around and do what people in 99% of other areas have to sit in traffic and park or sit on an hour and a half of transit to go do

I will! I've driven two hours just to see a movie.

But you are correct she absolutely will not do that lol. I could probably get an hour roundtrip lol. But that's also fine cause I don't have to drive an hour plus to do things in LA. If we don't want the same four or five things we can get in Athens we're looking at a 3+ hour excursion.

LA is cool but the sprawl and lack of public transit puts it below Chicago and NYC easily

It is the most predictable thing ever that I actually fell in love with NY once I finally saw Brooklyn but that’s a pipe dream, shut up Randall get a job

Baltimore will probably feel like home all over again when I get back and I’ll stop dreaming

I loved the buses when I was there. But also my bar for a bus system is pretty low between Athens's schedule of "who's to say?" and Atlanta's goal of "actually killing you".

Taking a bus across LA is pretty slow though. Taking subway in NYC is shockingly fast, like, every single time I’m like “oh damn this is my stop?” The stops are pretty far apart walking distance wise but you only spend about a minute of travel time on the train between them

I do not feel that way in DC lol it’s only marginally faster to cross the city by metro than it is by bike (although, combining bike and metro is the move).

And now I’m in a retro looking dive bar with tiger & panther paintings on the walls, little speakeasy booths, and post-punk on the speakers

After we got back from Chicago last July I read up on Denver’s public transit history and the city envisioned something similar for us in the 60’s-70’s when designing our light rail but all the NIMBYs shot it down and it pisses me off so much

    The rivalry is back on

I rarely get jealous of other places’ weather, but March is the one exception because I’m ready for spring and instead we have highs in the 40s for the next 10 days
