I almost want to tell them “you know you’re getting fired in 4 months anyway when summer comes and the restaurant’s still slow because your staff sucks and you pushed away the employees who were fixing the problem, right? Firing me didn’t fucking buy you any time so you might as well have done the right thing and stood up for me”

 

this lying ass bitch customer got me fired with this false ass review and the head manager at my job didn’t stand up for me

 

Not one word of the review is accurate, just trash human beings looking for fake excuses to bitch about good service so they can get free stuff out of their drinks taking 15 minutes on a busy night

the drinks taking that long itself wasn’t even my fault, the bar literally made every other tables drinks first (didn’t check time stamps) and then LOST THE TICKET with their drinks on them, so the fourth time I came back to the bar to check the bartender had to ask me what the drinks even WERE again.

let alone all the wrong shit in this douchebag review. And the upper management, who has never seen me before, is probably assuming I was discriminatory to these black customers claiming prejudice…. motherfucker IM BLACK

Both managers on the floor that night can confirm they were being ludicrous and unreasonable and flat out making shit up but nobody talked to them, they only talked to the head manager that doesn’t do SHIT

 

Anyone who would write that long of a review is not someone I’d wanna spend time with

Hey @Randall Mentzos I read all of your posts from yesterday and just wanted to offer my 2 cents after working in IT for a number of years. While IT is definitely a different job than coding/software engineering, the two fields have VERY similar barriers to entry. While I think it's still a good idea to get industry certifications to prove/enhance your skills, I very much agree with @paperlung that I wouldn't expect it to move the needle much for a job search. This industry is very cutthroat in that they expect you to know xyz and plug right into an environment at an entry level, but have ridiculous requirements for that entry level position. I don't say that to scare you off, but this industry is definitely about who you know, and how you can leverage that into a job. I think you said you recently earned a degree, leverage your alumni association, leverage any and all connections you've already made, connect with anyone and everyone on LinkedIn (ignore all the bootlicker aspects of it, it's great for finding jobs) and just apply everywhere, even if you don't meet all of the requirements, all it takes is one company to take a chance.

Lastly, and this is just my personal opinion and it's also not intended to scare you, but I do think coding/software engineering is a much more volatile space moving forward with the introduction of AI than your traditional IT roles like network engineer, sysadmin, etc. since AI is definitely more software focused vs. hardware, so I just think it's worth going into it with your eyes open. I think it's a few more years away, but you will see some roles get phased out imo

For real. And it shows how talented they are to convert a room full of mainly hardcore/punk fans to be fully into them as the set went on. Just an awesome time. Sounds like they’re recording a new album this year too.
