Lol I have a degree in film/video and now I'm in Marketing Operations where I admin a whole host of different tech suites.

 

Them: Go to college to get a good career
Me: Meet a Star Wars nerd and completely alter your career path

 

I got my current job by dating my old boss’s sister

 

lol I do appreciate the job listings who have a line like "Here at bullshut R us, we appreciate a candidate's diversity and encourage all to apply whether you meet the listed qualifications or not"

Elf you actually have a plethora of writing samples in your portfolio. And they all illustrate the succinctness and well phrased observations of your English degree.

My only chance of ever getting a job like that is meeting someone high ranking by chance and getting to nerd out about football with them in person lol (but also walking that fine line of not annoying them in the process)

To be fair I’m stunted because while I was in the middle of college to get a good career, I met Ian MacKaye from Fugazi / Minor Threat, and THAT completely altered my career path lol

problem is, he’s from the 80s / 90s - where it was actually possible to do what he did to be a self-made musician, and NOT be flat broke in your thirties as long as you stay away from alcoholism and hard drugs lmao
