Maybe I’m forgetting about some players, but I think last offseason was the first one in a long while where the Eagles lost some guys to free agency that I wish they had kept around. The James Bradberry contract continues to be a blunder.

 

I’m really interested to see what happens with Reddick. I wouldn’t trade him for anything less than a high second. I still think there’s a solid chance he sticks around, extension or not. They had Javon Hargrave play out the final year of his contract in 2022 without an extension. Then again, he didn’t feel like he was outplaying the contract he signed with the Eagles. We’ll see.

Maddox is a curious case. I do think he sticks around somehow. They have no depth worth mentioning at slot corner so I wouldn’t go creating another need if I were them. I think he’ll probably need to take a pay cut of some kind after only playing in 13 games the last two seasons combined.

The Byard one is interesting. I do think he gets cut, but the only only safeties on the roster worth mentioning are Reed Blankenship and Sydney Brown. Well, Brown is recovering from a torn ACL. I think they cut Byard and then just sign another safety in free agency. If there’s one position that I think the Eagles make a splash in free agency at, it’s this one.

Worth mentioning that Tee’s production is worth low end WR1 money and he’d be a WR1 on several teams (cough JAGUARS)

 

The Saints are a perfect example of the cap being real

However; they are also a perfect example of how the cap doesn’t affect you as badly as, having a bad coach / bad quarterback / drafting bad on day 2 & day 3

They’re still better than some teams trying to do it the homegrown way, which I hate to admit, but they definitely have shown me why some GMs just don’t worry that much about how they’re gonna afford their assets, if they have an organization that can still churn out at least mediocre seasons in spite of attrition.

 

Prior to Burrow, Joe Mixon is the last draft pick to make a pro bowl and then sign an extension with the Bengals. Prior to that it was Tyler Eifert who signed a one-year deal. Jessie Bates is the last pro bowler they've let walk. They also let Kevin Zeitler walk, and retained Andy Dalton and A.J. Green. So their track record is spotty and made more glaring by the fact they haven't had an awful lot of opportunity to retain really good players because they don't draft many of them lol

I've never used Sleeper for football, but it's awesome for basketball. I'm hoping they add more sports

 

I haven’t used sleeper on the computer.

On the phone it’s okay, some things are wonky some things are intuitive. Its format is definitely better for large roster dynasty leagues but I would never use it for a redraft
