And the same people saying he shut down the Chiefs are the same people who didn’t think they Chiefs would win the SB because their offense wasn’t good enough.

I’m not a Wilks hater. I promise. But I just don’t buy him as this great coach. Maybe I’m wrong.

 

Some people are overreacting to the wilks fire and some people are underreacting. It’s a whatever move.

 

Chiefs defense shuts down Miami, Buffalo, and Baltimore on their way to the SB. Three of the best offenses in the league this year. Then they mostly shut down SF. They won because of how dominant their defense was. But everyone piles on Shanahan and finds any reason to blame him. And they did the same for the other 3 teams KC shut down. McDaniel and Harbaugh were both dragged. Maybe the Chiefs defense is just that good?

On the flip side, KC’s offense struggled all year. Including in the playoffs. And they just kept winning anyways. So the SF defense holding them to 20 points in regulation is right on par with KC’s entire season. They only scored 30 points in 3 games the entire year.

It sucks for Wilks. I get it. But the outrage is over the top imo.
