100%. It’s just a matter or Tua and his agent agreeing to play ball like that. They’re in a tricky situation for sure

Appreciate the add-on. I wasn't trying to say Reid or even grumpy man were mediocre -- just that you can be a good/great HC but are limited to a degree by your QB (really more when you hit the playoffs and especially the Super Bowl), like Shanahan with Purdy. Shanahan is clearly a pretty good HC, but hasn't had a superstar QB and thus hasnt yet won a SB.

I love when teams lose in like the finals of whatever sports and all the losing teams fans always post something like forever faithful or some dumb stuff like we don’t need your reassurance lol

I don't need many big name FAs, just give me maybe a legitimate WR3 and re-sign our own guys and I am good to hit the draft

    The rivalry is back on

Snoop Huntley over Pro Bowler and NVP Gardner Minshew in the free agency rankings is a bit disrespectful

Reid is probably already #2 coach behind Bill imo

the Alex Smith years kind of proved his coaching acumen. Smith is mid as hell and he was getting them playoff wins.

I also feel like the system/environment he’s built is more sustainable than Bill’s patriot way, which makes me think if Reid keeps coaching for a bit he could surpass him

Yeah, Reid is #2, and I think if you can abstract out the "Is Belichick as good without Brady debate", there's a really strong case Reid is more impressive overall.

He's on his 2nd straight string of 5+ seasons where the worst he does is conference championship game. And one of those stretches was not with an elite QB, but with Donovan McNabb. When Belichick was given that kind of QB talent, he wasnt even a .500 coach.

If Reid could have won either of those SBs against Belichick, we'd probably already be having the discussion the other way.

Whooooa whoa whoa. Okay, I'm fine if we wanna do the argument that Reid has a more well rounded resume because he's had success without Mahomes too BUT I will not tolerate a "Bill had McNabb level QB play and couldn't get anywhere" because the following QBs have been his QBs:

Bailey Zappe, Mac Jones, Brian Hoyer, Dead Cam Newton, Jacoby Brissett with one hand, Jimmy Garoppolo, Matt Cassel, Drew Bledsoe, Vinny Testaverde, Eric Zeier, Mark Rypien, Bernie Kosar, Todd Philcox, Mike Tomczak,

Absolutely none of those guys when Bill had them are in the neighborhood of who Donovan McNabb was when Reid had him.

For what it's worth, Reid got 1 playoff win against the Brian Hoyer Texans with Alex Smith. All other Smith games were losses

    But I do agree he's #2

For my money, I'd have Reid and Mahomes both #2 in their respective lists, while acknowledging they truly have a shot.

But I think the thing people need to remember is they keep saying "isn't it amazing what they've done" without acknowledging they need to do it all over again just to tie lol

if I remember correctly Hoyer basically shit himself (maybe literally) that game

reid was basically the same as his eagles tenure for those alex smith years

    He 100000% did

The game opened with the Chiefs returning the kickoff for a TD and Hoyer totally melted down

I still believe the NFL owes me an apology for allowing Brian Hoyer into the game.

Fair that the level was lower overall, but, I think its worth going back and seeing just how shitty McNabb really was. McNabb is an above replacement level QB for like, 3 of those seasons. The second his running drops off, he's actively hurting the team.

I think I'd say Year 1 Mac Jones is better than a good chunk of McNabb seasons, and Year 2 mac is about even. But, wont argue for you a second about Zappe/Newton/etc...who are very bad

Mahomes for sure; there's no sign he's not going to be the GOAT, but, he's still gotta do it for 5-7 more years. And it got harder for Brady as his price tag went up.

someone did point out that brady got his 3 rings in 4 years and then didn't win another for like, 12 years

that worries me a lil bit

He did have a season where he won every game but 1! If you choose the right game to lose then that's a good opportunity

They also only missed the playoffs one time in that stretch and it was the season without Brady (where they still went 11-5), I feel like you take that, it could be a lot worse
