But I'll say based on his past takes and experiences Micah Parsons isn't known for his intelligence

But there's the caveat of "as a pure pass rusher" so he's probably right honestly

there are zero (0) offensive coordinators who had that same role with their same team in 2021. The longest tenured OCs in the league have been in that role with their current team for a maximum of 2 seasons lol

Roughing the passer didn’t really become emphasized until 2010-2011. Brady won 3 Super Bowls and set the nfl’s single season passing records when you could still hit the quarterback hard.

He’s certainly gotten some high profile calls (tuck rule obviously) but the data has never backed up the claim he gets all the calls or more than others

 

yeah, I think TJ’s game is different than just being a “pure pass rusher”.

but the discourse is pretty dumb around this right now. Yeah, I think TJ should have won DPOY (and the award shouldn’t be reduced to pass rush win rate or whatever like it seems to have been in the discussion), but ultimately , Garrett, Watt, and Parsons are the top 3 at the position, so picking Garrett isn’t as wrong as it could have been.
