lol but really there's not much more than what he said, disc degeneration just means that those levels have lost some height so the nerves lose some space in the canal they exit out of. But that's not something that happens overnight or with a specific injury, it's fairly normal for people to start getting mild joint/disc changes in their late 20s/early 30s.

I have done two spinal injections and for me they are not worth it. First one lasted a month maybe, second one like 2-3 weeks. Very expensive and an uncomfortable experience.

Physical therapy is what helped me.
