Did you read the full quote Dave? He is quite literally deflecting the blame on to Trevor and is dismissing why some of the turnovers are happening. How can he limit turnovers when what his line and WRs are doing is completely out of his control? The fumbles are the only thing where I can agree Trevor needs to tighten it up because a decent amount of them are avoidable even with the bad OL.

Lol I actually did go and read it and my take remains the same.

 

I'd like the context because it sounds like he was directly asked about Lawrence and turnovers, and I think that's a totally fair response considering his fumble count

 

Okay, so like, the thread can't be 95% Jags stuff AND every time someone responds to it, the sole purpose is to anger the Jags fan. That's not fair lol.

 

When did either Matt or myself say anything about Trevor being rattled about this? It is purely that his coach is showing he doesn't want to take any blame when the offense took a clear step back this season in regards to play calls/scheme and frankly they looked like a poorly coached team the second half of the season.

 

Not saying you said Trev was rattled or whatever, simply saying this quote, to me, is pretty benign and Trevor, being on the other side of it, shouldn't feel any increase of pressure from it.

It's the fact that he's only been critical of Trevor while defending the worst players on the team. Like our franchise QB has got to be better and isn't good but the actual worst center in the league is good and coming along.

 

It’s a fun time and not something I need to watch closely.
