Brainless horse moms talking about the pedigrees of different horses, all wearing the same outfits and being ignorant about everything in the world but horses, husbands in tank tops smoking nonstop and shooting off fireworks. I'll never forget going to a horse show in Katy I think, hanging around the barn owners who were talking about my sister being in "the same competition as that football player's daughter, who rides the horse Majestic Rider of Wind (I made this name up but yeah that's what horse names sound like so you get it) born from this legendary horse from the 90s (not Bojack obv even though he was in a famous TV show)" and going through the list of this horse's background like it was something important and then seeing my mom come up to join the conversation and be like "You mean Troy Aikman???" And these Dallas rednecks had no idea who Troy Aikman was

Yeah the trainer I was going to for my dog was going on and on about me getting a "real dog" (some $10,000 dog he was getting a cut of) and yeah, lack of self awareness was incredible
