yeah none of those are necessities i think, except Jonah Jackson? maybe Glasgow?

 

I’d take it more as a “nature of the beast” type comment than specific commentary on where this Lions team sits

they also were also pretty healthy among key contributors all things considered and get the first place schedule next season

 

Yeah we don’t have much. Jackson and Glasgow i would bring back. Nobody else is of impact.

 

Staying healthy and having someone take over the offense now will be the hardest challenge.

 

Like the Texans their roster should be even better next year if they draft/use cap space well

 

Also being the 3rd seed and having two home playoff games also isn’t likely to happen again, on top of having a harder schedule next season from finishing first in the division

 

TBH I think the scariest things for teams at the top of the NFC like the Lions is that the conference probably gets tougher next year

I’m going into the offseason bullish on Chicago, Washington, and Arizona taking pretty big strides forward with a good offseason (probably one of the NFC South teams too), and Rams and Green Bay getting another year of experience with their young talented roster (on top of SF, PHI, DAL, etc still being there)

 

see, my thought is if your team truly is a SB contender schedule doesn't really cross my mind

sure, its tougher to win against better teams, but iron sharpens iron

give me that tough ass schedule to see what my team is really about and not some paper tiger

just get a spot in the playoffs

yeah, I feel that — if you can’t finish in the top 45% of the league and you don’t make the playoffs, the schedule wasn’t your biggest issue and you’ve got bigger fish to fry

matters more for seeding, home playoff games, etc, to have that little bit of advantage, but at the end of the day, you gotta make it and win regardless of who and where you’re playing that week/season, I agree

 

Aaron Donald was almost a Buc if the Falcons had taken Mike Evans

Gerald McCoy and Donald phew

but TB couldnt go wrong with either
