Yeah, i duck out when this thread gets to be a bit much.

 

I also would encourage a group of mostly straight white men, myself included, that "if something bothers you, say something" isn't as perfect of a solution as I deeply wish it was sometimes. I'll get off my soapbox now.

 

I don't totally understand where the demographics tie in here

 

Spiff made a few jokes about me renting and not buying a house after he knew that I did buy a house with my ex and it didn't work out so I made some landlord jokes towards him which I thought was fair game. I agree we can tone it down and I'll do that going forward.

 

I mean the obvious example too is Randall talking about not liking getting ganged up on and everyone being like "yeah but you see why" when he talks about spectrum-related quirks coming out and the like

And again I'm 100% a part of that sometimes and also yes Randall still has a lot of shit to work on related to communication with all of us but there's definitely times we can meet him halfway at times

People don’t want to be perceived as weak or like their feelings are hurt. Especially on a forum. It can definitely feel embarrassing

but always say something ofc. I don’t think anyone in here has malice with anybody
