I'm just saying if we all recognize the thread is very heavily skewed towards people being assholes to each other, maybe we can all agree we could do that just a little bit less so it's actually funny and not annoying enough for people to leave

 

if anyone had an issue with us seemingly being to mean to spiffa I sure wish they had said it sooner

and to be completely clear, i started being a little more pointed towards him because I thought he was being kinda shitty about grimace living in an apartment

All I'm saying is if someone leaves and the assumption is "hmm maybe they didn't appreciate this string of jokes, eh we're all just being assholes to each other all the time anyway" maybe we can just slightly chill on that. I can how he took offense to it but yeah, I mean if we search this thread we all have said some pretty fucked up things joking or not. We could probably be nicer, not everyone has to have the same sense of humor and being a bit more sensitive isn't going to kill the vibe here and if it does, then that's kind of a problem no?

That being said tho yeah, being called a landlord is kinda... Not that bad comparatively speaking

 

And for what its worth yes everyone absolutely does this and it's the vibe of the thread, there's not something "special" that happened that's beyond what we usually expect. But I do think that's kinda the point, it's easy to get super swept up in it and toning it down a bit is a good way to keep it from getting out of hand

 

Also tho yeah, if something is offensive whoever is offended should def speak up and let everyone know

 

Sometimes I take a break from the thread because I don't like who I am when we get super aggressive with jokes and I laugh along and end up joining in. It's not because I think anyone means it or is mean spirited of course. But I do think it's very easy to get carried away and I see myself do it more often than not

 

especially because "spiffa is rich" has been an ongoing joke longer than I've been here

 

In a perfect world yes, but also in a chat full of everyone being assholes, it's pretty easy to assume "eh, they'll just double down. I'mma just bounce."
