The hope is that if they start around the same level and improve around similar rates, the younger prospect will have more time to grow before hitting his peak. Not saying that's correct but I believe that's the idea. No idea how it holds up

 

On the other hand older prospects are probably worse at COD and Fortnite and therefore more likely to focus on football or whatever

 

I just assume that everyone is either constantly in pain or numb at all times from all the painkillers, etc, if you’re absorbing any more than 0 NFL hits in your lifetime

Looking forward to what the Falcons do. Not gonna act like I know much about Morris, but that team definitely has some talent and I think it’s really cool that he’s making his return there.

 

yeah, I mean, I know age matters a ton between the high school and college levels because of growth patterns, and probably a decent bit in positions like those in the trenches where size and muscle mass can be the difference between winning and losing reps or in the high wear positions like RB, but I’ve always wondered if the fascination with QB age is just an incorrect extension of that versus something actually meaningful

Not surprised an almost 72 years old Bill Belichick isn’t getting much appeal. He probably wants full control and why on earth would a team give a 72 year old full control of a roster after building an absolute train wreck of a team, after years and years of bad drafting (who was bailed out most of the time by a certain QB).

He’s gotta give a little and agree to just coach … which he probably won’t do.

I’d imagine the roster control piece is the take for Vrabel too. What acting GM (or high ranking very involved exec like McKay) is going to hire someone to take away their roster control? Only way to land someone like that is with an opening at both and making the HC decision first and finding a GM aligned with that vision
