Actually since Donnie is in Costa Rica he can tell us

 

I actually saved a life, once!

One of my friends was passed out drunk at actually the aforementioned party and some random dude had … nails? and said: “should I put one in his mouth?”

Me, the voice of reason, said: “no he’s my friend!” and now this friend is going to be a father

 

we got gray whale last week for the first time and it rocks

 

Had a friend that would just eat stuff if we asked him to

used to see him down like 6 McDoubles and 4 mcchickens in one sitting

 

see to me this is nuts. There comes a point when it gets too much

 

Somehow its only been like 2 and a half weeks too

 

When everyone is bored and wants to see the train wreck in person

I knew a kid who sold like an ounce of cocaine right in front of me during lunch at high school

 

Most of what I “got in trouble for” was defending myself in fights because there was a surprising amount of violence at my school for a quiet suburban area

didn’t really get in trouble though. I’d get suspended but my parents would be like “I’m proud of you for standing up for yourself, enjoy your vacation” so. I never started a fight but I sure as hell would finish them

 

I also got caught with my friends a couple times skateboarding / trespassing on school grounds but the two times actual cops showed up we all darted in different directions and they didn’t bother chasing

i got in trouble for fighting anti-semites and people who would use the r word at special needs kids and then also for skipping class to eat at wendys

 

Lol this wasn’t in high school but one time I got caught trespassing inside someone’s recording studio

a band lent me their key to a tracking room they’d practice in and “sublet” it to me, but never told the studio owner even though they said they did

I’m mid recording a take and I hear “what the FUCK” behind me and I whirled around, and the guy gave me a good hard look and saw I immediately felt guilty and had all my own gear and was like, “carry on I guess, I’d be lying to myself if I pretended I wanted to stifle your creativity right now” so we made friends, I finished my demo and he let me come back whenever I wanted lol

he ended up booking me on my second show ever in Jacksonville and my first with a drummer so that was dope

 

Most of my “damn, I could’ve got in REAL trouble” is in a vehicle. Pretty sure I’ve already told the story of a time I got caught going 110 mph on the highway when I was 21 but evaded the police

Also been pulled over with my car smelling heavy like weed and somehow the cop didn’t notice

Also another time thought I could pull into a parking lot and evade a cop, he saw me and his first question was “you tryin to HIDE from me?? This is a middle school, I could charge you with evading arrest and trespassing” And I said “no officer I just didn’t feel comfortable stopping on that busy road”. Somehow he believed me

the MOST scared I’ve been actually, I did nothing illegal but was riding back across the Canada border. I had a US passport AND a military ID, and those border cops still thought I was an illegal migrant with fake identification trafficking drugs. Searched my car and searched tons of public records and kept me at the border asking me all these interrogating questions for hours, before they realized they had nothing / I’m a citizen and they let me go.
