Holy fuck do I wish Chris Jones would come to Jax. We cannot afford that and a weapon for Trev though

If he went to Jax I would be even more mean to the jags fans here

But shoot, no Evans and no Higgins in free agency? Then come to papa Chris lol

sign Chris and draft Byron Murphy II and switch to a 4-3 and fucking cut every IDL we signed 2-3 years ago

    Man if Jags DL had

    Josh Allen
    Chris Jones
    Byron Murphy II
    Travon Walker

Had Chad Muma on the field more

and had Ryan Nielsen calling the plays?

We might see them ACTUALLY be good enough to make it easy on Trevor, not just pretend for half a season lol

I really do think the Bucs get a deal done with Evans and that both Higgins and Pittman get tagged by the Bengals and Colts

Assuming the Jags don’t also tag Ridley, I’m mentally preparing myself for Marquise Brown to be the best available free agent WR, barring an unforeseen cut

Either way it seems Jags formula is tag Ridley, extend Josh Allen, pick up Trevor’s 5th year, sign the biggest impact player possible in FA, draft trenches

@CarpetElf i really do think we’re better moving on from all of them - RRH, Gotsis, AND Fatukasi - and maybe only keeping Hamilton on as a 2 down rotational guy

RRH is a restructure. He's excellent in his role and he's an ideal fit for this scheme. Hamilton is a re-sign if he's cheap because Nielsen does utilize 4-3 fronts as well.

Tee and Pittman are getting tagged why are we even pretending they aren't.

Also, corner is very likely our 1st round pick now

    that’s, not good

if we were going to do that we should’ve took Joey Porter Jr or Sauce Gardner in the first place, those guys were clearly elite & have surprised nobody with their great performance so far

Also didn’t our scheme just change? I don’t think RRH was that good this year. I think he was average

we’re not paying him that much though I guess

If you’re a fan of a team with a need at WR, I think your best hope is looking around at teams with players heading into contract years or players who might get cut. Off the top of my head, these are players who come to mind:

    CeeDee Lamb
    Justin Jefferson
    Amon-Ra St. Brown
    Chris Godwin
    Brandon Aiyuk
    Amari Cooper
    Nico Collins
    DeAndre Hopkins
    Keenan Allen
    Mike Williams
    Courtland Sutton
    Jerry Jeudy

Ja’Marr Chase, DeVonta Smtih, and Jaylen Waddle are worth mentioning as well, but I imagine their selective teams will pick up their fifth-year options to keep them under contract through 2025.

Obviously, a lot of those names are going to get extensions or franchise tagged in addition to whatever happens with Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman, and Calvin Ridley, but there are players who fall through the cracks every offseason and we know well enough by now that superstar WRs will be traded if the price is right

well that was three drafts ago now. we weren't exactly planning to be where we're at now. but yes my pick was always Sauce. Big fan of the Sauce.

Taking Porter means not having Anton so nah.

And yes the scheme changed but to a more favorable one for RRH. He had more pressures on fewer snaps this year too. Just throw him out there to attack. His cap hit is like 4.8m.

I’m fine with Walker but Sauce would’ve made sense. Darious Williams was already almost 30 right?

sucks we backed ourselves into that corner. We needed Anton but Porter was our chance at a shutdown CB1

That’s fine. But if we go the Chris Jones / Byron Murphy route I’m cutting all of em except D-Ham lol

I’d give up the patriots 2nd rounder for Aiyuk so quick

following the AJ Brown formula of betting on an ascending WR with an established connection to the QB, who had a down year on an underperforming team..........

Porter Jr was already VERY good in terms of yards per route run and separation allowed in his rookie year, I’m not worried about the penalties
