Getting deposits back from apartment complexes is fairly easy but it's nearly impossible with private landlords. they straight up tell lies about what you did to their house / duplex / whatever and dare you to take them to court when you just spent all your money moving

 

my team has both and I gotta tell ya it wasnt great!!!!!!!!!!

 

I had a landlord once claim that I did donuts in the yard with a car, jumped on top of the fridge from the stairs, might have been cooking meth etc

we spent an entire week cleaning the house top to bottom before we moved out and did none of those things
