I think the Eagles are going to look for someone who they can trust to be the head coach of the defense. This is just more of a gut reaction to how things went down with Desai and Patricia. It’s notable that players were concerned about Desai’s confidence during the season. I think they’ll ultimately go with someone they can hang their hat on.

As far as who has been specifically linked to the Eagles, here is who I would prefer based on my limited knowledge/informartion:

1. Ryan Nielsen
2. Ron Rivera
3. Wink Martindale

interested to see how yall attack the offseason. On paper, I think yall are one of the biggest regression candidates next year (mainly just because the schedule goes from a 4th place + NFC South schedule to a 1st place schedule and there’s no way half of the AFC loses their starting QB for the season again next year), but that massive cap space and an aggressive GM = a lot of opportunity for improvement, which is scary

 

And then he became the greatest college coach ever so, he made the right choice imo

not to over-criticize a throw that a Diggs level receiver should’ve still came up with. But Diggs did have to slow down and fight the CB for the ball at the catch point, whereas if Allen launched it a little further he would’ve WALKED into the end zone

 

Good thing the Eagles get to flex their muscles against the Giants and Commanders four separate times and against the dreaded NFC South
