Don’t really know enough about him to have an opinion just yet, but hopefully he doesn’t have cooties

 

Unfortunately breweries only brew sours and ipas anymore. It’s a bummer

 

I do wish there was more variety lately. There are a couple of breweries around here that lean into the German style and offer Schwarzbier and Tripel and stuff and they’re so good.

 

There was a brewery called full tilt here in Baltimore that is now closed that brewed a sour that tasted exactly like skittles. It was insanely good, but couldn’t have more than two without your teeth falling out.

 

But also as a disclaimer for the “just suck it up crowd” I complained about having plans here, but didn’t say squat to my wife and was a perfectly fine guest so blah to you haha

Kislings is 100% an unpretentious wings pub, perfect football atmosphere

 

Three Taverns in Atlanta does really good sours. Their Earl Grey sour is my favorite sour ever

 

I’d prefer to keep him but am on board with this purely for narrative reasons

Bigger issue is it seems breweries do one or the other, when what is needed is a place that has quality across the board. Like when I stopped at Treehouse up in MA, sure, they're famous for IPAs, but they had a pilsner and a couple pale ales that were in that 4% range and really good...which is whats badly needed in the summer. Likewise for winter when a place needs a solid Tripel/Quad and/or barleywine.

The few places that I lived near that did those all eventually went out of business though. I ended up preferring beer bars that rotate their stock
