Yeah I understood that. And I do think you’re not wrong that Kirk and Trev’s chemistry will continue to steadily improve, Kirk is entering his prime and is becoming the best receiver he’s capable of being. If he gets healthy this year and has another 1000 yard / 8 TD season he was certainly worth the money we spent.

But there’s certain skills a guy isn’t gonna gain just by being your best friend haha. If anything rang true all season it’s that Trev needs a security blanket against tight man coverage, so that he can be aggressive right back when teams are blitzing him instead of always having to resort to checkdowns.

Ridley & Kirk can make a nice sideline toetap sometimes but if they’re boxed out they’re boxed out, and those throws are harder to make. Tee will literally jump through a motherfucker and steal the ball out their hands if you float the ball anywhere above his head. That’s a totally different story & makes Trev’s job way easier.

It’s a lot like how in basketball, while you need finesse and you need shooters… having a great, physical rebounder naturally enables you to take way more threes - you can take that risk more often and still keep the ball.

I’m not ruling out the slight possibility that the Eagles sign Derrick Henry. I don’t think Henry’s market is going to be what he or his agent might think it will be considering his age, workload throughout his career, the season he just had, and, unfortunately, the position he plays.

I’d like the Eagles to work something out with D’Andre Swift, but I don’t see why Swift would want to come back to Philly other than playing close to home. If Swift leaves, I can see the Eagles signing Henry. Kind of reminds me of when they signed LeGarrette Blount back in 2017.
