Interviewed for a new position after being slightly picked/recommended for it. Hope i get it. On top of being more money it sounds much simpler and straight forward than the shit I have been doing for 7 years so I can vibe with that.

I see the appeal of them but only if you can actually take it to a track and get the thrill of driving it fast

98% of people who own fast cars, waste them and use them as status symbols

 

I would

 

I’d be like “Hey, look at me, I drive a fast car, VROOM VROOM”

 

And people would be like “Wow, he drives a fast car”

 

If i can’t ever take my car to a track then I’m fine driving Subarus forever. Owning a fast car wouldn’t be about impressing other people, it would strictly be about trying to live out my lifelong, real life Gran Turismo fantasy lol

I don’t want to impress people with what I have, if anything I want to impress people cause I know how to use it & can beat other amateur drivers in races lol

 

The only time I’ve ever really pushed a car was when I lived in rural Virginia. The winding road of my small neighborhood was really fun & the visibility was good.

I wouldn’t do that now & acknowledge it was really dangerous and egotistical of me to assume I can always see if someone’s coming. but it was fun when I was 22 and reckless.

I did mess up once cause each time I’d try to see if I can take the sharpest turn a little bit faster, but didn’t crash into anything cause there was a lot of grass / open space. Car just kinda half/spun and ended up in the grass.

 

I will never be impressed by someone driving a car

 

I think drift racers are very impressive
