You greatly underestimate how often and how long he and I both go down rabbit holes reading just fuckin encyclopedia-amounts of information on places weve never been

We both grew up in families who were moving / traveling a lot and we are both fueled by ADHD wanderlust lol

Michigan is weird in general thiugh. We get called rust belt, mid west, but to me there should just be a Great Lakes region. Rust belt feels like it’s evolved into the Great Lakes area, and that should be the term to define the area

 

oh yeah if he has no opinion or anything then of course. but if he's got a guy he's pounding the table for then by all means.

 

I call us Great Lakes region or Rust Belt, the Midwest does not make a whole ton of sense for me for Michigan. The bottom counties of the State maybe but everything else I don't think of it being "Midwest".

 

I finished the album, my heart gives it a 2/10 but it also helped me beat the last mission in Session so it gets points for that, 4/10

i call states by the general region and areas by more specific sub-regions. Like, Buffalo is Great Lakes but New York isn't. or Detroit/Rust Belt vs. Michigan

More continuously expensive things about owning already-expensive vehicles:
-you WILL get more speeding tickets, cops are just watching you more
-luxury tax
-repairs that are $2,000 in a Toyota are like $9,000 in a Porsche / Mercedes etc and even more in an exotic import. routine maintenance is also way more expensive
-fast cars don’t get good mpg just cause you drive them slow lol
-they aren’t designed for durability, they sacrifice that for lighter weight and better maneuvering… one crash can easily ruin it
-a lot of 90s sports cars I love that were $60k a few years ago are now like $200-$300k because they just became “classics”

It’s fun to think about having a sports car and driving it on a track one day but even if you make over 100 grand a year it’ll make you realize you’re not rich real fast lol
