It’d be cool to stop posting Schefter unless it’s people dunking on or criticizing him. Any news he “breaks” will just be posted by some other “insider” within minutes. I’m sure they’re all sell outs but I don’t know how his career just carried on after he was caught letting Washington—at the time the worst of all teams— edit his stories.

 

the players love him, but the fact of the matter is all the WRs outside of Tyreek/Waddle were dog water this year. Now, that might just be because they are dog water in general, but yeah. If Frank Smith leaves, I think he is the likely one to get promoted to OC though so we will see.

I think it came out with the Jon Gruden email stuff a couple of years ago, Schefter was emailing Bruce Allen (I think) about stories before he'd publish them? could be wrong on those details

 

It came out in discovery from Gruden’s lawsuit. He was sending them full stories on the lockout in 2011 and literally letting them edit them. Imagine what he was doing during the sexual harassment allegations!

I watched a friend break her first bit of real news (benjarvis green-ellis signing with Cincy) using sources she cultivated and he just tweeted it a half hour later as if he broke the story. Every other national guy tossed her the “first reported by…” hat tip. A bare minimum courtesy.
