A good local theatre probably has bomb ass popcorn too. Mine does. And heated reclining seats. And more alternate food options than just candy and gas station hot dogs / nachos

i also greatly prefer going to movies by myself. my wife also just isn't remotely as into movies like i am.

 

might be better off because it's so good in theaters im not sure i could enjoy it as much at home

I’m a creature of habit.

I know what I’m getting with my local AMCs. I know how the seats feel, I know how much a large popcorn and drink will cost, I know there’s about 22-25 minutes of previews before the Nicole Kidman preroll plays. I know how the popcorn tastes.
I know the parking situation. I know how long it takes me to get to any of the 4 AMCs in the metro.

These are the things I like and need.

I have a nice TV and a Dolby Atmos setup so I can still enjoy movies at home pretty well
