I might have mentioned this, can't remember, but we got our layoffs announced right before Halloween and they did a virtual "town hall" about it with the execs using Halloween overlays and in costumes talking about why these firings were so necessary. It was spot on that one episode of The Office and it was so painful and tone deaf

My favorite was when we had an all company meeting and they talked about how great the shareholder profits were and then like 2 weeks later we had a meeting about people losing positions and jobs being shifted around(them just wanting people to quit).

I've heard that Paycom here in OKC has been quietly laying people off by changing rules for approved wfh days, like someone will be home then when they come back to the office they're dinged for it and let go

 

this is going tough for me when the family that founded the company is still in charge
