I have quit several jobs in unceremonious fashion. The first one that comes to mind is Pay-Less Shoes in 2008/2009. I worked there maybe a week and a half my first year at college before quitting. I called my boss and left a voicemail saying that I had to quit because I was dropping out of college along with my sister and we were moving back home to CA to support our family because my dad lost his job in the recession. All of this (except my dad losing his job) was, of course, a lie.

She called back and I obviously didn't answer, but she left a voicemail saying that "you got to do what you got to do" and that she'd be praying for my family.

I've got plenty more. I've quit jobs after a week, 3 days, and even 1 day (three times).

Robert Mays of The Athletic floated the idea of the Steelers trying to trade for Geno

Why would Seattle do that though? I don't get the impression they're in tear down mode or in a great position to replace him.

I think the Cowboys should hire the chosen one Jose Mourinho. Try something different. A reverse Ted Lasso.

i dont think seattle would NOT trade geno, but, also whats the return FOR geno that makes it basically worth a lost year or even two for them?

"new coach, new staff, at least call and ask what it would cost to get him; Geno is relatively cheap"

he did also say that obviously who knows if Seattle would do it

My best "I quit" moment was MarketerHire. I've def posted this before, but they were fucking around with my paternity leave, effectively screwing me out of 6 weeks pay. They figured they could because my wife was pregnant and they had all the leverage in the world, except at this point I was already working two other full-time jobs. So I spent a good hour on the phone destroying their argument, calling their competence and moral fiber into question, making them contradict each other in hilarious fashion, and then quit on the spot. I then proceeded to call the lawyer of the founder who is suing them to feed them as much info as I possibly could.

Oh sure if the Steelers wanna get stupid, let them. I just doubt a price the Steelers would pay and a price worth a lost season align. Unless they really like what they saw from Drew Lock maybe?
