Antonio Pierce would be such a bad hire. Dude got so badly out coached in the IND game

they should definitely do it

 

It’s like hiring Jeff Saturday with better PR

 

I mean at least AP was an active coach in the NFL and not an ESPN personality

 

and AP is 5-4 vs 1-7

 

Idk, I’m very low on AP

I’d attribute the shift in record more to the vibe shift than to anything that AP specifically did as a coach, and would strongly prefer to not make a hire based off vibes alone because vibes shift and being good at coaching is more absolute

ideally you can find someone less dreadful to work for than McDaniels who also brings something interesting schematically and who isn’t so bad at in-game decisions

give me a coach all the players want to play for

Lot of talk about vibes today and AP seems to have the good vibes.

 

I remember the last AP I thought had good vibes way back when

 

idk, but I wouldn’t want to run an NFL team assuming I couldn’t

especially with this being a cycle where a GM is coming in too (Dodds?), I really hope that they’re hiring a GM who has a greater long-term vision than “yeah, let’s run it back with AP, the vibes are cool”

I think the last interim hired was Freddie Kitchens

 

looks like Kitchens wasn't actually the interim, Gregg Williams was, but Kitchens got the jobs right after the season ended?

so it was Doug Marrone

 

The brain trust wanted to hire Kevin Stefanski but John Dorsey hired Kitchens. They were both fired and Stefanski was hired a year later.

 

Ozzie Newsome was a great GM. But that guy lucked into more stud players in the draft than anyone I know.
