Idk compare their stats the last two years and I don’t see a difference. Herbert seems to get by on his pretty awesome stats from the first two years though, which you can’t take away I guess.
you can’t deny that Herbert does not get the criticism Trevor does. Maybe you can argue he doesn’t deserve it because of the promise he’s shown but that was the comparison I was making.

I think it’s a fair enough comparison! I also think Trev gets it more in this thread because of the audience — there’s no one to freak out if someone posts something about Herbert’s Chargers limping to a 5 win season

I legit didn’t start to see a ton criticism of Trevor until this week. I saw the same amount for him and Herbo throughout this season. Also for some reason on this site you can use coaching and injuries as excuses for Trevor but not Herbo!

To be fair, Staley is not one of the bottom three coaches of all time. I'm not excusing it if it's Doug Marrone but one of the all time worst regimes in the sport is worth mentioning

 

I don’t really care anymore who is better or more criticized. Trev struggled this year and he’s capable of being much better in a more functioning offense. I’ll leave it at that

I want to see Trevor be HIS best before im propping him up against other players. I don’t even know what Trevor’s best even looks like because we’ve given him more reasons to struggle than to thrive

Coaching is for sure an excuse for Herbert. Often valid probably but still the only thing I hear about him losing

 

one of the only nfl related shows I watch is nfl live and there were several weeks they talked about him and how he needs to do more, he’s not playing good enough, needs to be a better leader etc etc
