I liked this comment, but I want you to know I do not actually like that your brain is rotting. It's complicated.

 

I agree and I’ll add that the same can be said about Jonathan Gannon. He was not a good DC in Philly, always called better games against the mediocre and bad QBs/offenses, but got lit up against the good ones. However, he was getting head coaching buzz in the 2022 offseason after his first season as DC just because he was well-respected around the league.

Always worth remembering that there’s way more to being a good head coach than how good whichever side of the ball you call/called. Unfortunately, most of that stuff we are not privy too and have to rely on beat writers and insiders to fill us in on, which obviously isn’t the whole story. But I always try to keep that stuff in mind during this portion of the offseason.

 

The Carroll stuff is wild. Heard rumblings that maybe his time could be drawing closer to an end, but didn’t think it would be this offseason
