going to florida for the first time ever this year, not very stoked to get destroyed by humidity

 

There are areas that have a lot of culture and activity that aren’t dense / huge too for the record. For example Asheville.

 

I mostly liked suburb life as a kid but I am city or bust at this point as well. Plentiful food options and uber and being able to decide 30 min before a show starts that I want to go to it is invaluable to me.

 

And museums, and great parks, and record stores, and just random live music happening, and sports events, and several high quality cafes if you’re up early one morning, and so many great bars/pubs that you could watch sports games in a different one every day of the month

Great morning/evening walks in every direction instead of the same grass lots and sidewalks. Etc. The only thing I miss when I’m in a city is actually nature where nobody lives, but you gotta drive to get to that either way.

 

I sadly found the tour thread and boy is this website on one about one off night. It’s the weirdest fucking thing. Sorry your show sucked, but try being normal?

 

I don’t even have a car right now and I just got my bike back, but I was still able to walk around the harbor to my favorite local weed dispensary, and then take a bus to an Ethiopian restaurant, and another bus to my practice space outside the city the other day

All in all I can still go to work and still go entertain myself right now without paying $2738473 for Ubers while dealing with a $4000+ car crisis

I’d be miserable and mad depressed if I had my car die while I lived in suburbia

Yeah, I'm in the east bay and largely love the weather. Even in the summer, I can have my windows open at night and it'll be in the 50s usually by bedtime.
