lmao i remember going to SF in august and thinking it would be as hot as new york and i woke up one morning and it was legitimately like 39 degrees out.

it got warm FAST but jesus christ i was not packed for that walk to breakfast.

 

She knows way too much about our lives and unit to not sneak around it, I'm convinced. She just knows everyone's business way too well when I offer 0% of info about me in the small talk

SF is for sure and often quite chilly. I live 30mins inland, so it can get into the 90s and even rarely into the 100s for a few days in the summer.

I LOVE wearing a single layer of comfortable breathing clothes all summer and being able to go outside wearing whatever. I have come to appreciate winter fashion to an extent but it’s still a hassle to me. Gotta wash more clothes and be more uncomfortable and have space for wet jackets and constantly take stuff on and off etc

 

i guess if you count surrounding areas, sure. seattle proper is about 100k bigger than portland, and weirdly feels less big than portland to me. i think seattle's proximity to the mountains and all the nature stuff really makes it shrink

 

I am counting surrounding areas, yeah. City population is definitely misleading cause city borders are all different sizes for various political reasons

 

I lived like 25 years of my life in Arizona. I'm looking for places with weather very much the opposite.

It's why the Seattle area has always been a dream. Gimme cloudy and rainy weather all the time please

the bay area is awesome but a lot of people think bay area = north bay/east bay who aren't from here. i'd say the majority of the bay is pretty warm throughout summer but from october-april its some of the best weather in the country IMO.

Housing is basically going to be expensive for me if I ever do it cause I’m not interested in living in a cul de sac of a subdivision of an enormous suburb whose only entertainment is a shopping mall.

That was my childhood, and deciding to live IN cities as an adult definitely confirmed to me that areas bustling with culture and activity are a must for me.

 

Honestly, literally maybe nothing.
