I've almost got ollies down again IRL, I need to commit to going out more often but it's been tough lately due to illness

I’d kill for a new T.H.U.G.

 

THPS3 has great levels too. I quite enjoy Canada, Los Angeles, Cruise Ship, Rio

for some reason I’m seeing that Burnside was in that game but I do NOT remember that?? However I do remember that Skate 2 has a nod to Burnside and that’s one of my favorite spots in the game

 

I honestly think 3 has the best levels overall

 

I forgot about Burnquist. That dude was great as well

I always chose Bam Margera’s team in THUG because I was super basic haha

 

His stats are so mid in THPS games but irl he’s one of the best vert skaters of all time haha

 

I was never a big Bam Margera fan but I did listen to HIM which is equally embarrassing

Honestly they hold up as long as you embrace the corniness

 

He and Rodney Mullen are like the embodiment of fluidity in skateboarding in their respective fields, the things he does are absolutely insane but he does such a good job making them look completely natural. Skaters like Tony and Daewon are in the same tier overall obviously and have strengths over those 2 but they aren't nearly as fluid in nature

I think 2 does cause of the gaps. Finding gaps in THPS2 is more fun than any other game. Lot of secret areas that are tough to get to the first time, lot of ENORMOUS gaps you wouldn’t think are there until you hit a run through that area at full speed

the best individual levels though, are definitely on THUG2. In my opinion they never made better maps than Skatopia and the extra alien ship / ancient ruins / hell map you get at the end

 

My top 3 in the games were Mullen, Eric Koston, and Kareem Campbell

After that it was like Rowley and Glifberg and Burnquist

 

Which Tony Hawk game had the best soundtrack tho

 

I was Mullen, Lasek or create your own

I also really like Steve Caballero in THPS2

IRL that guy could do the fucking longest boardslide grinds

 

Also THPS2 lol. Maybe I’m just biased but both the punk and rap songs on that game rule

 

Though the first song on it was also Papa Roach - Blood Brothers lmao. So not all good.

 

If your go to skater in Tony Hawk was Tony Hawk you grew up to be a cop.

 

It might be THPS2 for me too, I'm torn between that and 3 and THUG1 but right now THPS2 is coming out on top in my head

 

I love the Lagwagon, Millencolin, Swingin Utters songs

and I love “out with the old in with the new (SHIRRRRT) YEAH YEAH YEAH”

and “I don’t give a kcuf like the f word reversed, you got me runnin in a cy-cl-one”

and “this is what it’s like when worlds COLLIIIIIIDE ARE YOU READY TO GO CAUSE IM READY TO GO”

Oh and the special version of that Public Enemy song “Bring the Noise” with Anthrax playing metal music in the background, that shit is so trademark 1990s and rules so hard lol

 

Does anyone else remember every song on that soundtrack like it was yesterday? or just me lol
