caleb is still the guy. the bears aren't going to pass on a QB and, not that he's perfect by any means, he's still a better bet than Maye or Penix

 

Caleb vs. Maye is much closer than I thought it’d be. Neither are as good as we thought.

I’d take Marv Jr. and then Jayden Daniels with the other first (if Maye and Williams are gone).

 

i would do a lot of things, the bears are definitely taking caleb

Caleb is for sure giving “nothing is my fault” vibes. Talent alone will only get you so far at the next level, when a defense humbles him it’s not going to be a pretty sight.

He can of course learn and grow up, but it is a concern right now

 

I hope all this negative media on Williams drops him to pick #4 so I don’t have to watch Mac Jones start again

I’m kinda loving the idea of Marvin Harrison JR in the first and then Daniels in the second

 

I’m convinced this man’s agent just drops these QB nuggets to anyone who will listen

 

they’ve drafted like shit for decades

For sure but right now Penix looks like the best VALUE. A team with a better roster than the teams picking early is gonna get him and they’ll get a QB who shows some of the mental traits you look for at the pro level even though he’s nowhere near as impressive athletically as Caleb.

 

caleb stinks and we will 100% be talking about him being a bust this time next season. just hope its not at the expense of the giants.

 

To be clear, I do think Caleb reads defenses, I just also think he takes his time too much and needs to speed up his process a lot. He’s already having problems escaping pressure in college and he’s gonna have smaller amounts of time on a down-to-down basis in the NFL. He likes to *wait* for a guy to get open deep instead of just taking the short option when the deep one isn’t ideal and that’ll get him into trouble.

But give him a good offensive line and some well designed play calls and he might be real productive in his rookie season while you continue to hone in on his fundamentals

yeah Steelix has steel in the name, but I think Gurdurr would be a better choice, since he’s a steelworker.

 

It’s been over a year and I’ve heard so much positivity for Caleb and Maye in this upcoming draft class, but feels like we’re getting closer and closer to the annual, extremely predictable, “Yeah, they have their flaws, but wait until so and so enters the draft!”

It truly is the gift that keeps on giving

 

Not at all staying teams in the top 5 shouldn’t draft either of those guys. Just finding humor in the familiar
