“Expected points added” like trying to project how many points are “expected” and how much the QB influences that is an exact science at all

they can’t even get fantasy football projections right, statistics are not “prescriptive” (facts that always tell you something specific and have a singular correlation/causation relationship), they are “descriptive” (simply a record of what happened, with a lot of moving independent variables that make it impossible to generalize what caused that correlation without further research). Even in data science descriptive statistics would not be used for predictions
