you’re also in First Quarter Of The Season Frank Reich mode, where the team is weirdly beat up, you lose every season opener ever regardless of how heavy of a favorite or underdog you are, and the season feels over after 4 games

if this season is anything like IND, everything magically comes together in Q2 and you suddenly have hope again, you tread water in Q3, and then flame out in spectacular fashion in Q4

 

Sidenote: I have Fields and DJ in my dynasty league. Leaving Thursday night with 78 points from 2 two players is delightful.

Also, it’s perfectly okay to just say Fields has looked alright for the last two games now as opposed to dogshit through the first three weeks.

Also, Claypool stinks. Not a good route runner, not good at contested catches, and not a good blocker. Can’t believe anyone traded for him when two teams gave up on him within just over three years

Claypoo probably watches the highlights from his rookie year 4 TD game everyday thinking he's still Him

 

I think Claypool is turdy too, but for a 7th round draft pick swap in 2.5 years, its worth I guess taking a shot considering Robbie Chosen is doodoo, and Ezukanma and Cracraft are hurt

 

Trading for Claypool would have been the cherry on top of a year where they signed a bunch of mediocre players and goofballs to rebuild their offense

It is perfectly okay and that’s not what I took issue with. I was doing the same thing everyone else was doing - sharing an opinion with reasoning behind it - but talking about something different, whether it might mean he’s reached a new level in the long run, or whether this was an aberration because of atrocious defense.

I felt both the next gen state route tree AND the visual information from the highlight of the Fields TD hinted that it was the latter. I was posting an opinion and supporting it with other information. I wasn’t shutting anybody down.
